September was filled with lots of excitement for Empower Girls and our friends around the community. Our mentees are getting off to a great start at school and are excelling academically and socially.
With the help of our volunteers we’ve been able to tutor and mentor youth in and around northeastern Maryland in person as well as online. To sign your student up for tutoring or mentoring services please submit a contact form on our website letting us know how we can best help.
Service learning hours are available for students in need of volunteer opportunities as a graduation requirement. We always try our best to pair our volunteers with opportunities that best suit their own interests and talents and are pleased to welcome interested students aboard.
Without our sponsors and volunteers, there IS no Empower Girls! You mean the world to us.

Recently we were invited to pair up with the S.MA.R.T girls of the Boys & Girls club at Havre de Grace. We’ll be joining them on October 2nd to discuss young women’s empowerment, self-esteem and how we can best use our own individual talents to serve others.
If you’d like to have us come speak to your youth group or class, we’d love to hear from you. Part of our mission is to inspire others to start their own community causes and to make a difference in their own way. Send us an email or complete the form on our contact page and we’ll be sure to reach out to you.
The BYOB Breakfast, a pancake breakfast being held in support of our fundraising efforts, will take place on November 3rd in Aberdeen, Maryland. Tables and tickets are still available. This event will feature local merchants and vendors as well as the opportunity to learn how to start your own business. All are welcome and advance ticket purchase is highly suggested.
