NMAAHC Announces Walk Up Weekdays!

We are so very excited to share the news that the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture will now allow visitors to enter the museum without passes on every weekday during the month of September.  This is a long-awaited announcement, as many of us were waiting to hear the results of data collected during the “walk up Wednesdays”  of during the months of April and May, which was used to determine whether or not it was time to do away with the timed-entry pass system.

As with previous visits, groups of 10 or more will still be required to obtain timed entry passes to ensure a seamless entry into the museum, and the museum will operate it’s “no pass required” status for individuals on a first-come, first-served basis so as to allow all attendees to enjoy the museum while still maintaining safety and order.
